Overview

AI-generated overview

A read-only remote MCP server that lets an assistant browse ranked lists of software, apps and books, look up product facts, find alternatives and compare two.

What you can do
Search the catalog for rankings, products, books, categories and articles by name or topic, returning slugs and page URLs to cite. Browse every category with its list count, or open one category's ranked lists and top picks. Read a single ranked list with its criteria, how-to-choose guidance, and each entry's rank, editorial score, verdict, best-for and key facts, optionally filtered by free, open-source or platform. Look up one product or book: pricing model, platforms, open-source status, strengths, limits, rankings it appears in and top alternatives. Find alternatives that share a ranking, best first, and compare two products side by side with their ranks, scores and verdicts.
When to use it
Useful when someone asks for recommendations or comparisons of software, apps or books and wants ranked, editorial-style results with scores and verdicts rather than raw search hits. Also suited to questions about a product's pricing model, platforms or open-source status, or to finding alternatives to a tool.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no local package, account, API key or environment variable is declared. The assistant needs network access to the endpoint.
Before you install
The content is editorial ranking data from a third party, so scores and verdicts are opinions rather than verified facts. The tools are read-only and no credentials are requested, but page URLs returned by search are meant for citation and should be checked before relying on them.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open listme.name rankings in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.yunusemrejr%2Flistme/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
