Overview

AI-generated overview

Read-only X/Twitter data server for assistants: look up profiles, timelines, tweets, search results and Smart Money accounts via the XFlux API.

What you can do
  • Look up public X profiles, user timelines and single tweets by ID
  • Search recent tweets with query operators
  • List account monitors and read their recent hits (read-only)
  • Browse Smart Money rankings, individual profiles and recent calls
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to research public X/Twitter accounts, track what a handle has been posting, or run keyword searches over recent tweets without official X API approval. Also fits crypto/trading research that leans on KOL rankings and calls.
Requirements
Runs locally as an npm package via npx, so Node.js is needed. Requires an XFlux API key in the XFLUX_API_KEY environment variable, obtained from the provider dashboard; a free tier exists. Optional XFLUX_API_BASE overrides the API base URL. Network access to the XFlux API is required.
Before you install
The API key is a billable credential passed in an environment variable; keep it out of shared configs. Usage is metered by plan quotas, and paid plans are needed for webhooks and higher limits. Monitors are created in the provider dashboard, not through the assistant. Requests and queries go to a third-party service, and the data is read-only, so it cannot post or send messages.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Xflux in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Other MCP clients

Follow the launch instructions in the repository.

README

XFlux

Read-only X/Twitter API for agents and apps: profiles, search, timelines, account monitors with signed webhooks, and Smart Money. Not for posting.

Site: xfluxapi.com · MCP: xfluxapi.com/mcp · Agents: llms.txt

Free tier: 1,000 calls/month, 1 monitor, no credit card. Paid plans add signed HTTP webhooks and higher quotas.

What it does

  • Read API — public profiles, timelines, single tweets, and search. Bearer key, JSON.
  • Monitors — watch @handles on a schedule. New tweets are delivered with a signed webhook on paid plans. Create monitors in the Dashboard, not by posting to the API.
  • Smart Money — ranked KOL accounts and recent calls (read-only).
  • MCP server — the same read API inside Claude Desktop, Cursor, and other MCP clients.

This service does not post tweets, send DMs, or require official X API approval.

Score

50% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
