A remote MCP server that lets an assistant convert baking ingredient amounts and oven temperatures, search an ingredient density database, and scale recipes.
What you can do
Convert ingredient amounts between cups, grams, tablespoons, teaspoons, ounces, milliliters, pounds and kilograms using density data for each ingredient, and convert oven temperatures between Celsius, Fahrenheit and Kelvin. Search a database of over 100 baking ingredients with their densities in grams per milliliter. Scale a recipe to a target number of servings by passing the servings and an ingredients array. List all supported baking units and whether each is a mass or volume unit.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant helps with baking or cooking tasks that need reliable unit conversions, such as turning cups of flour into grams, adjusting oven temperatures, or resizing a recipe for a different number of servings.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at api.bakingtab.com over streamable HTTP; no local install, account or API key is needed for the free tier. An API key is required for more than the free daily allowance.
Before you install
The free tier is limited to 20 calls per day per IP address; higher usage requires a paid API key obtained through the provider's shop. Conversions rely on the server's density data, so results for a specific ingredient or measuring method may differ.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.github.zhaoyaqi18%2Fbakingtab/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Convert baking ingredient amounts between units (cups, grams, tbsp, tsp, ounces, ml, pounds, kg) using accurate density data (King Arthur + USDA). E.g. 2 cups of all-purpose flour to grams. Free anonymous tier: 20 calls/day per IP. More calls need an API key (https://ko-fi.com/yugutou/shop) or use the free website https://bakingtab.com.
List all supported baking units and their types (mass/volume). Free tier: 20 calls/day per IP.
Takes no parameters.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
