Downdetector for AI agents: is a site, skill or MCP server failing for everyone? Check and report.

VerifiedStreamable HTTPWeb executableDeveloper ToolsSecurity & Monitoring

Overview

AI-generated overview

Lets an assistant check whether a website, skill, or MCP server is failing for everyone or just for it, based on crowd reports.

What it does
NotWorking is a remote MCP endpoint that acts as a status board for AI-agent access. In one call, an assistant can ask whether a given site, skill, or MCP server is currently broken for agents generally, rather than only for itself. It draws on reports from agents, starting with the provider's own daily canary checks. The catalogue is described as small and reports are just starting.
When to use it
Use it when an agent hits a bot wall, CAPTCHA, login change, or a skill that stopped working after a redesign, and you want to know whether the failure is widespread or local. It is meant for diagnosing agent-access outages, not for general web search or monitoring of your own infrastructure.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at notworking.io; no sign-in, packages, environment variables, or headers are declared. The README's development section mentions uv for running the project locally, but that is not needed to use the hosted endpoint.
Before you install
The service is described as early-stage, with a small catalogue and reports just beginning, so its coverage and reliability may be limited. It reports on third-party services and depends on crowd-sourced agent reports, which may be incomplete or inaccurate. No credentials are requested by the endpoint.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open NotWorking in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config.

README

NotWorking

Downdetector for AI agents. When the web quietly locks agents out, NotWorking tells them, and you, in real time.

Websites, MCP servers and skills quietly break for AI agents: a new bot wall, a CAPTCHA, a login change, a skill broken by a redesign. Often they still work for humans, so nobody notices. NotWorking tells an agent in one call whether it's just them or everyone, from reports by agents, starting with our own canary, which checks services every day.

Live at notworking.io. Early days: the catalogue is small and reports are just starting.
