Requirements
Runs locally via npx (Node.js) as a stdio server, configured in Claude Desktop or a project .mcp.json. Requires a free Plantrip API key supplied in the PLANTRIP_API_KEY environment variable; an optional PLANTRIP_API_URL overrides the API base URL. Network access to Plantrip's API is needed.
Before you install
The API key in PLANTRIP_API_KEY is a credential and should be kept out of shared configs. The server can save and delete trips in your Plantrip account and submit tour booking inquiries, which sends your trip details and inquiry data to Plantrip. Requests are rate limited to 60 per minute and 10,000 per day.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Plantrip in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.

Quick Start

1. Get an API Key

  1. Go to plantrip.io/developers
  2. Sign in (free — no subscription required)
  3. Create a new API key

2. Configure Claude Desktop

Add to your Claude Desktop config:
