Overview

AI-generated overview

Threatist gives an assistant read-only access to vulnerability records — CVE, GHSA, CISA KEV, EPSS and vendor fixes — through a hosted remote endpoint.

What you can do
  • Search vulnerability records by text and filters, page by page with a cursor
  • Fetch a single record by Threatist id or an alias such as a CVE or GHSA id, with trimmed details by default
  • List a vendor's records, highest priority first, using the same filters as search
  • Read a Red Hat RHSA or Microsoft KB/ADV advisory with its CVEs and records
  • List recent additions to CISA's Known Exploited Vulnerabilities catalogue, newest first
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to look up or triage vulnerabilities: checking a CVE or GHSA id, reviewing a vendor's most urgent issues, reading a specific advisory, or tracking newly exploited vulnerabilities.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at threatist.io; no API key, environment variables or headers are declared. Network access is required.
Before you install
Read-only lookups, but the server's instructions ask that data be credited as "Data from Threatist" with a link and point to its terms, so check those terms before reuse. Records are shortened by default, so some CPE matches, references and advisories are omitted unless requested.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Threatist in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.threatist%2Fthreatist/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

get_vulnerability

A record for a TI id or an alias such as a CVE or GHSA id. Merged ids give the surviving record. By default the record is shortened: no CPE matches, at most 20 references (exploits and patches first) and the 10 newest advisories; trimmed says what was cut.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
