Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted MCP server that lets an assistant read Auvik network inventory, alerts and device statistics, and dismiss alerts.

What you can do
  • List tenants and client usage summaries for a date range
  • List and get devices, networks and interfaces, with status, addresses and scan state
  • List and get alerts by severity, status, time window or device
  • Get device statistics such as bandwidth, CPU, memory, storage and packet counts over a time range
  • Dismiss an alert in Auvik
  • Check monthly tool-call usage, request a feature, or upgrade and cancel a subscription
When to use it
Useful for managed service providers and network admins who want to ask questions about Auvik-monitored client networks in natural language, such as which devices are offline, which critical alerts fired recently, or how much bandwidth a router used.
Requirements
Remote endpoint reached over streamable HTTP; no local install. Sign-in uses OAuth, and the login page asks for an Auvik username (login email), an Auvik API key and the Auvik region. Credentials are stored per user by the hosted service; no keys go in the client config. A free plan allows 50 tool calls per month.
Before you install
auvik_dismiss_alert changes alert state in Auvik, so it should only run when the user asks. Your Auvik API key and region are given to the third-party host, which stores them per user. Paid plans cost money: Pro at $9/month or $90/year and Pro+ at $39/month or $390/year, billed through a Stripe checkout link, with no refund for the current period on cancellation. Tool calls are metered.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Auvik MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fauvik/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

Auvik MCP by usefulapi

Use your Auvik account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Read tenants, devices, networks, alerts and statistics, and dismiss alerts. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://auvik.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://auvik.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http auvik https://auvik.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "auvik": {      "url": "https://auvik.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Auvik credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/auvik/

On first connect you provide your Auvik username (your login email), an Auvik API key (created under your user profile) and your Auvik region (for example us1, from your web address before .my.auvik.com). The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.
