Overview
Lets an assistant geocode addresses, reverse-geocode coordinates, autocomplete addresses, search places, and compute routes and reachability isolines.
- What it does
- A hosted MCP endpoint wrapping Geoapify location services. Read-only tools cover forward geocoding, reverse geocoding, address autocomplete, places search, place details, routing, reachability isolines, and IP geolocation. No local install is required; the assistant connects to the remote endpoint and calls these tools directly.
- When to use it
- Useful when an assistant needs to turn addresses into coordinates or coordinates into addresses, look up nearby places and their details, plan routes, or map how far you can travel from a point. Worth adding if location lookups come up often enough that a dedicated tool beats ad hoc web searches.
- Requirements
- A remote MCP endpoint; no local runtime or package install. Geoapify credentials are pasted on first connect and stored per user. Network access to the hosted endpoint is required.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Geoapify in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
