Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted MCP server that lets an assistant look up Ginesys ERP items and create sales orders, reserve stock, and cancel reservations.

What you can do
  • Look up a single inventory item by item code or barcode, including division, category, vendor, prices, tax group and unit of measure
  • Create sales orders with item lines, using your own order id so retries cannot duplicate an order
  • Reserve stock for lines of an existing sales order at a site, and cancel part or all of a reservation
  • Check monthly tool-call usage, request a missing feature, and manage or cancel a paid plan
When to use it
Useful when you work in Ginesys ERP and want an assistant to fetch item and pricing details or place and adjust sales orders and stock reservations without opening the ERP screens.
Requirements
Remote endpoint reached over streamable HTTP; no local install. Sign-in is by OAuth, and on first connect you supply your Ginesys API address (your tenant) and a Ginesys API key generated in the ERP admin security settings. A free plan allows 50 tool calls per month; paid plans raise the limit.
Before you install
Creating orders and reserving or cancelling stock change live ERP data, so confirm before running write tools. Your Ginesys API key is entered at sign-in and stored per user by the hosted service, so it leaves your machine. Paid plans are billed through a checkout link and cancellations run to the end of the paid period with no refund for the current period.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Ginesys MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fginesys-erp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

Ginesys MCP by usefulapi

Use your Ginesys account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Look up items, create sales orders, and reserve or cancel stock on sales orders. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://ginesys-erp.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://ginesys-erp.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http ginesys-erp https://ginesys-erp.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "ginesys-erp": {      "url": "https://ginesys-erp.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Ginesys credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/ginesys-erp/

On first connect you provide your Ginesys API address (your tenant, for example https://erp.yourcompany.com) and your Ginesys API key (Admin → Security → API User → Add → Generate Key). The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.

Each paid plan covers this server only. Ask your AI to run ginesys_upgrade and choose Pro or Pro+, billed monthly or yearly (it returns a Stripe Checkout link). If you already have Pro, ask to change it to Pro+. The change requires your confirmation, keeps your billing interval and charges the price difference for the rest of the period immediately. Cancel any time with ginesys_cancel_subscription: your paid plan continues to the end of the paid period, with no refund for the current period, and asking to resume the same plan with ginesys_upgrade before then undoes the cancel. Or write to [email protected].
