Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted Printify MCP server that lets an assistant read shops, catalog, products and orders, and create, price, publish and fulfill print-on-demand products.

What you can do
  • List shops, products, orders and media-library uploads, and read single products or orders with shipments and tracking
  • Browse the catalog: blueprints, print providers, variants and shipping quotes
  • Create orders and send existing orders to production, with preview and confirmation steps
  • Update variant retail prices and publish products to a connected sales channel
  • Copy products between shops and check copy or write-operation status
  • Create and delete signed webhooks, and check usage or manage the subscription
When to use it
Useful when you manage a Printify print-on-demand store and want an assistant to answer questions about orders, tracking and unpublished products, or to prepare and confirm price, order, production and publishing changes.
Requirements
Remote endpoint at printify.usefulapi.io over streamable HTTP; no local install. Sign-in is via OAuth, and the login page asks for a Printify API token (My profile, Connections, API tokens), stored per user. Do not add an Authorization header or API key to the client config. A free plan allows 50 tool calls per month.
Before you install
Write tools change real store data: creating orders, sending orders to production (which can charge the linked Printify payment method), updating prices, publishing products to an external sales channel, copying products and deleting webhooks. Most require a preview hash and explicit confirmation. Webhooks share event data with the receiver you register. Paid plans are billed through a checkout link, and cancellation gives no refund for the current period.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Printify MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fprintify/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

README

Printify MCP by usefulapi

Use your Printify account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client — read shops, catalog blueprints, print providers, products and orders, and create or publish products. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Live endpoint: https://printify.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://printify.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http printify https://printify.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "printify": {      "url": "https://printify.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Printify credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/printify/

On first connect you'll provide your Printify API token (My profile → Connections → API tokens). It is validated, stored per-user, and scoped to you — no keys in config files.

printify_create_order

Preview or create an unsubmitted order

WRITE: preview an order of existing enabled product variants in an API/custom-integration store. Set this exact store to Manual approval in Printify BEFORE confirmation, then pass manual_approval_confirmed:true, confirm:true and the approved preview_hash. The API cannot verify Manual approval; auto-approval can otherwise cause production/charges. Persistent operation_id prevents automatic duplicate creation. Does not submit production or send shipping notifications.

Parameterslabelconfirmshop_idrequiredaddress_torequiredline_itemsrequiredoperation_idrequiredpreview_hashshipping_methodrequiredmanual_approval_confirmed

printify_send_to_production

Preview or submit an order to production

WRITE: separately preview and approve production of an existing order, including its destination and fulfillment costs. Can charge your linked Printify payment method. Requires production_charge_approved:true, confirm:true and preview_hash; use the same operation_id for retries. Uncertain submissions are never replayed.

Parametersconfirmshop_idrequiredorder_idrequiredoperation_idrequiredpreview_hashproduction_charge_approved

printify_create_webhook

Preview or create a signed order webhook

WRITE: preview an order/shipment topic and HTTPS receiver; confirm with preview_hash to register it. Uses the signing secret configured securely on the connection, never a tool argument or result. Shares event data with that receiver. Verify X-Pfy-Signature at your receiver; API acceptance is not proof of signature delivery. Duplicate/uncertain attempts are not blindly replayed.

Parametersurlrequiredtopicrequiredconfirmshop_idrequiredoperation_idrequiredpreview_hash

printify_delete_webhook

Preview or delete a webhook

WRITE: preview a shop's selected webhook, check expected_host against its destination, then confirm with preview_hash to delete only that webhook. Uses Printify's required host query safeguard and persistent operation deduplication.

Parametersconfirmshop_idrequiredwebhook_idrequiredoperation_idrequiredpreview_hashexpected_hostrequired

printify_update_product_prices

Preview or update variant retail prices

WRITE: preview integer-cent retail price changes on selected variants. Confirm with preview_hash to update Printify, preserving all other variants, flags, SKUs and defaults; verify readback. Does not publish to an external sales channel. Reuse operation_id rather than blindly repeating an uncertain update.

Parameterspricesrequiredconfirmshop_idrequiredproduct_idrequiredoperation_idrequiredpreview_hash

printify_write_operation_status

Check write operation

Read the persistent state and known resource IDs for an operation on this connection in a shop authorized by the current token. Does not create, submit, update or delete anything. Reconcile an uncertain attempt before doing further writes or rotating the token; operation history is scoped to the original connection identity.

Parametersshop_idrequiredoperation_idrequired

printify_copy_products

Copy products between shops

Preview or copy selected products or a complete catalog between two Printify shops in the same account. Preserves title, description, blueprint/provider, variant IDs/prices/enabled flags, artwork IDs and print-area transforms. Preserves canvas side printing and image pattern rotation. This initial workflow does not copy tags, SKUs, channel IDs, publication state or generated mockups. Products with text/personalization layers are explicitly refused because their creation fields are read-only. Preview by default. confirm:true starts/resumes a durable bounded job; save job_id and keep calling with that job_id and confirm:true until complete. Duplicate prevention remembers copies made by this connector, including across restarts/jobs; pre-existing copies made elsewhere are not detected. An uncertain create is never automatically retried: inspect the target and use printify_resolve_copy. Do not change the source catalog during an all-products run. Requires shops.read/products.read/products.write. Confirmed copying requires the hosted connector's durable coordinator.

Parametersjob_idconfirmbatch_sizeproduct_idsall_productsstart_new_jobsource_shop_idrequiredtarget_shop_idrequired

printify_copy_status

Check product copy progress

Read a durable product-copy job's progress, target mappings, failures and uncertain writes. Verifies that the current token can access both shops. Does not create or retry products.

Parametersjob_idrequiredentry_limitentry_cursorsource_shop_idrequiredtarget_shop_idrequired

printify_resolve_copy

Resolve an uncertain product copy

Resolve one failed or uncertain source product in a durable copy job. Provide an existing target_product_id to verify the exact supported fields against the checkpoint and record it as copied. Or set verified_not_created:true only after checking the target shop manually; this allows one future retry through printify_copy_products. Requires confirm:true, never creates/publishes/deletes anything itself. An ambiguous write must never be blindly retried.
