Shiftbase
io.usefulapiv1.0.0Updated Oct 8, 2026
Read Shiftbase rosters, timesheets, absences and availability; schedule shifts and review absences.
Overview
Lets an assistant read Shiftbase rosters, timesheets, absences and availability, and schedule or review shifts through a hosted endpoint.
- What it does
- A hosted MCP server that connects an assistant to a Shiftbase account for workforce scheduling. Read tools cover the account, employees, departments, teams, locations, shift types, scheduled and open shifts, availability, timesheets, clocked-in employees, absences and absence types. Write tools create or change scheduled shifts and request or review absences. Meta tools report usage and manage a Pro subscription.
- When to use it
- Useful when an assistant needs to answer questions about staffing, shifts, hours or absences, or to make scheduling changes in Shiftbase without opening the web app. It suits teams already using Shiftbase who want roster and timesheet data available in an MCP client.
- Requirements
- A remote MCP endpoint; no local install. A Shiftbase account and API key are required, entered on first connect and stored per user by the provider. Network access to the hosted endpoint is needed.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Shiftbase in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config.

Shiftbase MCP by usefulapi
Use Shiftbase from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client — read Shiftbase rosters, timesheets, absences and availability; schedule shifts and review absences. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own Shiftbase credentials.
Live endpoint: https://shiftbase.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io/shiftbase
Add to Claude
On first connect you'll provide your Shiftbase API key. Your credentials are validated, stored per-user, and scoped to you — no keys in config files.
Tools
read tools are read-only; write tools mutate data (clients should confirm them); meta tools report usage or manage your subscription.
Pricing
Pro covers this server only. Subscribe with shiftbase_upgrade (it returns a Stripe Checkout link). Cancel any time with shiftbase_cancel_subscription: Pro continues to the end of the paid period, with no refund for the current period, and running shiftbase_upgrade before then undoes the cancel. Or write to [email protected].
