Overview

AI-generated overview

Hosted Spike.sh connector that lets an assistant read incidents, on-call schedules, escalations and services, and acknowledge, resolve or reprioritize…

What you can do
  • List teams and browse incidents, including triggered and acknowledged queues, with full detail and activity logs
  • Look up on-call schedules, rendered shifts and who is on call next
  • Review escalation policies and services, including open incident counts per service
  • Acknowledge, resolve or set priority (p1–p5) on one or more incidents
  • Check monthly tool-call usage, request a missing feature, upgrade or cancel a subscription
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to triage and act on Spike.sh incidents from chat — checking what is firing, who is on call next, or closing out resolved incidents — without opening the Spike.sh dashboard.
Requirements
Remote MCP endpoint; no local install. Sign-in is via OAuth, and on first connect you paste a Spike.sh API key (Spike.sh → Settings → API), which is validated and stored per user. Do not put an API key or Authorization header in the client config. Most tools are team-scoped and need a team ID from the team list.
Before you install
Three tools change live incident state: acknowledging stops escalation, resolving closes incidents, and setting priority alters triage. The server asks for your Spike.sh API key, which grants access to your organization's incident data. Usage is metered (free tier 50 calls/month); paid plans are billed through Stripe checkout links, and cancellation gives no refund for the current period.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Spike.sh MCP by usefulapi in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.usefulapi%2Fspikesh/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Spike.sh MCP by usefulapi

Manage Spike.sh incident response from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client — read incidents, on-call schedules, escalation policies and services, and acknowledge, resolve, or set the priority of incidents. Hosted, no local install: connect with your Spike.sh API key.

Live endpoint: https://spikesh.usefulapi.io/mcp · Homepage: https://usefulapi.io

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://spikesh.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http spikesh https://spikesh.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:
json
{  "mcpServers": {    "spikesh": {      "url": "https://spikesh.usefulapi.io/mcp"    }  }}

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Spike.sh credentials.

Step-by-step setup, where to find your credentials, and FAQ: https://usefulapi.io/spikesh/

On first connect you'll paste your Spike.sh API key (Spike.sh → Settings → API). It's validated, stored per-user, and scoped to you — no keys in config files.
