WriteHero checks, formats, previews and drafts LinkedIn posts — character limits, see-more cut, hooks, headlines and AI-sounding phrases — without touching…
What you can do
Check a post before publishing: character count against the 3000 limit, the text shown before "see more", hook score, unrendered Markdown, placeholders and AI-sounding phrases
Convert Markdown into paste-ready LinkedIn text with Unicode bold, italic, bullets and plain URLs, optionally replacing em dashes
Restyle short text with Unicode bold, italic, serif, cursive, strikethrough or underline
Generate opening-line templates and profile headline options from the user's topic, audience, result and proof
Return a link to an approximate mobile and desktop feed preview, including where "see more" cuts the post
When to use it
Useful when drafting or finalizing LinkedIn posts and profile headlines and you want a pre-publish check, clean formatting, or a rough look at how the post appears in the feed.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint at writehero.io; no authentication, environment variables or headers declared. Nothing to install locally.
Before you install
The tools cannot read or publish to a LinkedIn account, so no post is actually published. The preview link carries the post text inside the URL, so share it only with people who should see that text. Styled Unicode letters may be read poorly by screen readers.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/io.writehero%2Flinkedin/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Check a LinkedIn post before publishing: character count against LinkedIn's 3000-character limit, the text likely shown before "see more" on desktop, a hook score, Markdown that LinkedIn will not render, placeholders, and phrases that read as AI-written. Returns concrete issues to fix.
Parameterspostrequired
format_linkedin_post
Format a post for LinkedIn
Convert Markdown into text that pastes cleanly into LinkedIn: **bold** and headings become Unicode bold, *italic* becomes Unicode italic, list markers become bullets, Markdown links become plain URLs. Optionally replaces em dashes.
Parameterspostrequiredreplace_em_dashes
style_linkedin_text
Bold, italic or strikethrough text
Restyle a short piece of text with Unicode letters that keep their look when pasted into LinkedIn (bold, italic, bold italic, serif, cursive, strikethrough, underline). Use sparingly; screen readers may read styled letters poorly.
Parameterstextrequiredstyle
generate_linkedin_hooks
LinkedIn hook ideas
Opening-line templates for a LinkedIn post, filled with the user's topic, audience and result. Anything the user has not supplied stays in [brackets] to replace with a real detail; nothing is invented.
Parameterstopicrequiredresultaudience
generate_linkedin_headlines
LinkedIn headline options
Profile headline options built only from the user's role, audience, outcome, proof and keywords. Every option fits LinkedIn's 220-character headline limit. Does not change the profile.
Return a link to an approximate preview of the post in the LinkedIn feed on mobile and desktop, including about where "see more" cuts it. Pass author_name and author_headline when you know them. Opening the link saves and publishes nothing. The post text travels in the link, so share it only with people who should read the draft.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
