Captain Legal lets an assistant list legal document templates, collect the required answers, generate a free watermarked preview, and buy the final PDF.
What you can do
List available legal document types per country, with names, prices and legal coverage, and get the exact ordered questions and validation rules for a chosen document type and country, including conditional fields, generate a draft from the user's answers with validation against national rules, returning a free watermarked PDF preview, the exact price and what is not covered, purchase the final document and get a secure payment link, with the final PDF emailed after payment, check an order's payment and delivery status using the status token from the purchase step.
When to use it
Useful when someone wants a country-specific legal document drafted through an assistant, such as a contract or other template, and wants to see a free preview and price before paying. It is not for e-signature, which the server states is not yet available.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint over streamable HTTP; no package, environment variables or headers are declared. A status token returned by the purchase step is needed to check an order. Payment happens through an external secure payment link.
Before you install
Purchasing spends real money and returns a payment link; the final PDF is emailed only after payment. Generated drafts are watermarked previews, and the server reports what is not covered by automation, so output should be reviewed rather than treated as legal advice. The status token from a purchase should be kept private.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/legal.captain%2Fcaptain-legal/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
List legal document types Captain.Legal can generate for a given country. Call this first to discover what's available and get accurate names, prices and legal coverage. Never assume a document type exists — always check here.
Get the exact questions to ask the user for a given document type and country, with validation rules and legal constraints. You MUST use these questions verbatim as your source of truth for the interview — do not invent fields. Fields are ordered and may be conditional on previous answers.
Generate a draft of the document from the user's answers. Returns a free watermarked PDF preview and the exact price. Validates all answers against the encoded national rules first — if validation fails, you get structured errors to relay to the user. Also returns what is NOT covered by the automated checks: always relay the not_covered items to the user.
Purchase the final document for a given draft. Returns a secure payment link to give to the user. After payment, the final PDF is emailed to the user within minutes. E-signature is not yet available.
