b59.link lets an assistant create short URLs, QR codes and page-view trackers, and find where their click and view stats are shown.
What you can do
Shorten long URLs, optionally with a custom slug, and get the short URL plus a stats URL back. Generate trackable QR codes tied to a short link, or plain QR images for text, Wi-Fi strings, phone numbers or email with color, size and SVG options. Create free page-view trackers for a website and get the tag image URL, ready-to-paste snippets and a stats URL. Look up whether a URL already has a short link, and resolve the stats page URL for a slug, destination, tracker or tagged domain. Sign in with an API key or an emailed one-time code to raise the rate limit and own created items.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to produce shareable short links or QR codes, add lightweight page-view tracking to a site, or point a user to click and visitor statistics. Less relevant if you only need plain QR images without link tracking.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at b59.link over streamable HTTP; nothing to install locally. Works anonymously at 2 requests per minute; an optional Authorization header with a Bearer session key, obtained through the auth tool with an API key or an emailed 6-digit code, raises the limit to 300 per minute. Network access required.
Before you install
Signing in requires an API key or an email address, and new emails are signed up automatically; the session key in the Authorization header is a secret. Creating short links, QR codes and trackers writes data to a third-party service, and anonymous trackers must be claimed later with the returned manage_token. Stats are viewed on b59.link, not inside the assistant.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/link.b59%2Fb59-link/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Sign in to b59.link to raise the rate limit from 2 to 300 requests/minute and own what you create. Pass api_key to get a session key straight away. Or pass email to have a 6-digit code emailed, then call again with email and otp to get a session key (new emails are signed up and also get their api_key). Send the session key as the HTTP header 'Authorization: Bearer <session_key>'.

shorten_url
Shorten a URL
Shorten a long URL and get a memorable b59.link short URL. Optionally specify a custom slug. Returns the short URL and a stats URL.
Parametersurlrequiredslug
generate_qr
Make a tracked QR code
Generate a trackable QR code for a URL. Creates a b59.link short URL at the same time so scans are counted. Returns the short URL, a stats URL, and the QR code as a base64-encoded PNG.
Parametersurlrequired
create_tracker
Create a page-view tracker
Create a free page-view tracker for a website. Returns the tag image URL and ready-to-paste snippets for the site's pages, plus the stats URL where views, visitors, pages and referrers are shown. When signed in, the tracker belongs to the account; otherwise keep the manage_token to claim it later.
Parametersnamesite_urlrequired
get_stats_url
Find a stats page
Get the stats page URL for anything b59.link tracks: a slug or short URL, the destination URL of a short link or QR code, a tracker id or tag URL, or any page URL / domain that has a tracker tag. Stats themselves are viewed on b59.link; this returns where.
Parametersidentifierrequired
lookup_url
Look up an existing short link
Check whether a URL already has a b59.link short URL. Handles variations: http/https, www prefix, trailing slash. Returns the existing short URL and QR code if found.
Parametersurlrequired
make_qr_image
Make a QR code image
Make a QR code image for any text (URL, Wi-Fi string, phone, email, plain text) without creating a short link. Supports colors, size and SVG. Returns the image plus a permanent image URL that can be embedded with <img src>. Use generate_qr instead when scans should be counted.
