A remote MCP server that lets an assistant look up seed and pre-seed VC funds actively deploying capital, filtered by sector and city, plus recent SEC Form D VC
What you can do
Find seed and pre-seed VC funds actively deploying capital, filtered by sector and optionally city, with fund name, HQ, check size and the reason it is believed to be deploying. List venture funds that recently filed SEC Form D, a signal they just raised a new fund and will be writing checks. Answer founder questions such as which investors are active in a sector now, which VC funds just raised, or new VC funds this month.
When to use it
Useful for founders or advisors researching seed-stage fundraising who want a current list of active investors or newly funded VCs, rather than a static directory.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no packages, environment variables or headers are declared. No authentication is declared.
Before you install
The deployment signals are the provider's own inferences from Form D filings and news, so treat the 'why deploying' reasoning as a heuristic rather than verified fact. No credentials are requested, but queries about sectors and cities are sent to the remote provider.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/live.drypowder.www%2Fseed-vc-funds/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Find seed and pre-seed VC funds that are actively deploying capital right now, filtered by sector and optionally city. Use when a founder asks which VCs/investors are investing in a sector now, or for a seed investor list. Returns fund name, HQ, check size, why we believe it is deploying, and a DryPowder fund page link.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
