Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server for Laboratory.love that lets an assistant look up published lab test results for phthalates and bisphenols in consumer products and start…

What you can do
  • Search and read published product-test records, including provenance, samples, lots, analyte measurements and exposure ratings
  • List reported chemicals, their abbreviations, categories and lab panels
  • List crowdfunding products and check live funding status for one product
  • List paid testing tiers and check the status of a checkout
  • Create Stripe-hosted checkout links for a crowdfunding contribution or a testing order
When to use it
Useful when someone asks whether a product, brand or category has been lab-tested for chemicals such as DEHP, BPA or BPS, or wants to fund or buy testing through Laboratory.love. Most lookups are read-only; checkout tools are only needed when a person decides to pay.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at the provider's site; no package, environment variable or header is declared. No authentication is declared. A Stripe-hosted checkout page and a web browser are needed to actually pay.
Before you install
Two tools start purchases: create_contribution_checkout and create_testing_checkout save a pending order and return a Stripe checkout link, so confirm product, tier and amount with the person first. Nothing is charged by the call itself; payment happens on the Stripe page. Results cover only the samples tested and mix commissioned tests with labeled PlasticList-derived records, so report the source.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open laboratory.love in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/love.laboratory%2Flaboratory-love/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

search_results

Search published test results

Search Laboratory.love’s published product-test records. Use this before answering whether a product, brand, or category has been tested. Records are either Laboratory.love-commissioned tests or clearly labeled PlasticList-derived historical records; report which. Results describe the samples tested, not every unit of a product. Covers chemicals that come from plastics (phthalates, BPA and other bisphenols, and phthalate substitutes), the usual meaning of "plastic chemicals" in food; it does not measure microplastic particles, so say so if someone asks about microplastics. Read-only.

get_result

Get one test result

Get the full public record for one result id from search_results: provenance, every sample with its lot and analyses, every analyte measurement with its status, LOQ where known, and Laboratory.love’s per-serving exposure ratings with their assumptions. When answering: name the source (commissioned vs PlasticList-derived), keep detected / below_limit_of_quantitation / not_detected / not_tested distinct, give sample counts, and do not call a product safe because values are low or not detected. Read-only.

list_analytes

List analytes

List the chemicals Laboratory.love reports (abbreviations such as DEHP, DBP, BPA, BPS), their categories, lab panels, and how each feeds the exposure ratings. Use it to explain abbreviations or to pick an analyte filter. Read-only.

Takes no parameters.

search_crowdfund

Search crowdfunding products

List products the public can fund toward laboratory testing, with goal, amount funded, amount remaining, and status. Defaults to products currently accepting contributions. Read-only.

Parametersqlimitcursorstatus

get_crowdfund_status

Get crowdfunding status

Get live funding status for one crowdfunding product id: goal, funded, remaining, allowed contribution range, and the result link once tested. Read-only.

Parametersidrequired

create_contribution_checkout

Create contribution checkout link

Write (treat as a sensitive, purchase-starting action; confirm the product and amount with the person first). Creates a secure Stripe-hosted checkout link for a contribution toward testing one crowdfunding product. Nothing is charged by this call: the person must open checkout_url and pay. Returns the amount, currency, seller, refund terms, and expiry. Use get_checkout_status to see whether they paid.

list_testing_tiers

List testing tiers

List the direct testing packages a person can buy to have Laboratory.love test products they choose: price, number of products, samples, panels, turnaround, and refund terms. Read-only.

Takes no parameters.

create_testing_checkout

Create testing order checkout link

Write (treat as a sensitive, purchase-starting action; confirm the tier, price, and product links with the person first). Saves a pending testing order and creates a secure Stripe-hosted checkout link for it. Nothing is charged by this call: the person must open checkout_url and pay. Use get_checkout_status to see whether they paid.
