Overview

AI-generated overview

Free multi-source weather forecasts for any place, plus Kalshi and Polymarket weather market rules and settlement tracking.

What you can do
  • Get daily high/low forecasts for a place from every free source, with median, spread, rain, current observations and active alerts
  • Find places by name, city and state, airport code or coordinates, and fetch a place's 7-day forecast
  • Inspect the open data sources behind the forecasts, with licence, latest run, age and status
  • Look up weather markets in a place, including settlement station, rule, the number so far, the server's value and the official result
  • Check how often the server's settlement value matched the venue's result, including every miss
  • Pull as-issued history for backtests: daily hi/lo/rain per run, NBM text columns, or settlement observations
When to use it
Useful when you want a quick consensus forecast across several free sources for a location, or when you need to check the station, rule and running number behind a Kalshi or Polymarket weather market before or after settlement.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no authentication, environment variables or headers declared. Network access to the provider's endpoint is required.
Before you install
The server asks that its credits line be kept and its page URL linked when numbers are repeated. Market tools report rules and settlement values but no prices, so they are not a trading feed. History requests are capped at 366 days and consume units per 31 days.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open groundhog.markets in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/markets.groundhog%2Fweather/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
