Private, programmable networking for the AI age: manage networks, devices, hubs and VPN.
Overview
Lets an assistant manage a Ghost Networks private mesh — networks, devices, hubs, keys, VPN servers and exit nodes — in natural language.
- What you can do
- Create and manage private networks and their devices, including adding and revoking devices
- Organize Phantom Hubs and issue Helbind Keys and BiFrost Passes
- Run Ghost VPN servers and route traffic through exit nodes
- Administer roles and other mesh settings across 41 tools
- When to use it
- Useful when you already run a Ghost Networks Enterprise mesh and want to set up, change or audit networks, devices and VPN routing from a chat client instead of the CLI.
- Requirements
- A Ghost Networks Enterprise plan and its API key, supplied as GHOST_API_KEY or via a one-time CLI init. Runs locally as a signed binary bundled with the Ghost CLI, or as a platform-specific .mcpb bundle; desktop only. Listing tools works without a key.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open Ghost Networks in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Desktop only via STDIO. STDIO servers start a local process, so they need the SourceWeft desktop host.
Other MCP clients
Follow the launch instructions in the repository.
README
Ghost Networks MCP Server
Private, Programmable Networking for the AI Age.
Manage your Ghost Networks private mesh (WireGuard-grade encryption) from any MCP client — Claude, Cursor, Codex, Gemini, Windsurf and others. Create networks, add and revoke devices, organize Phantom Hubs, issue Helbind Keys and BiFrost Passes, run Ghost VPN servers and route traffic through exit nodes, all in natural language.
The MCP server is built into the Ghost CLI (ghost-cli mcp): a single signed binary, no runtime or extra packages.
Requirements
A Ghost Networks Enterprise plan (CLI, or CLI, API & VPN Server) and its API key. Plans start with a first month for $9.90 — see gh-o.net/pricing.
Install
1. Install the Ghost CLI (it contains the MCP server). Skip this step if you use the .mcpb bundle.
macOS / Linux:
Windows (PowerShell as Administrator):
2. Add it to your client:
[Install in Cursor] [Install in VS Code]
On the first tool call the CLI registers itself with your API key and stores its credentials locally (~/.ghost-cli/config.json). You can also run ghost-cli init <your-api-key> once instead of setting GHOST_API_KEY.
Tools
41 tools covering networks, devices, Phantom Hubs, Helbind Keys, BiFrost Passes, Ghost VPN, roles and exit nodes. Full list with parameters: TOOLS.md (generated with ghost-cli mcp --list-tools).
Listing tools (tools/list) works without an API key, so you can inspect the server before subscribing.
Security
- All operations go through the same end-to-end encrypted API channel as the Ghost CLI.
- Your API key and device keys stay on your machine.
Support
Ghost Networks™ is a trademark of HabloApp Inc. BiFrost Pass*, Phantom Hubs* and Helbind Keys* are patent-pending technologies.

Score
40% of the applicable checks met
How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
- Reached in the last 30 days25 pts
Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.
- Auth declared10 pts
Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.
- Tools listed15 pts
Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
