A remote MCP server exposing nightly-computed open data on the Dutch energy market: cheapest contracts, market levels and offer lifecycle.
What you can do
Find the five cheapest energy offers for a standard household profile on the latest day with data, with a cost split and fetch times, or per day across a date range with history tools. Get market aggregates for a day: offers by contract type, median yearly cost, price spread, cashback offers, and offers added or withdrawn. Track when each offer was first seen on sale and when it was withdrawn, optionally filtered by supplier code. Read the ranking methodology, standard profiles, licence and attribution guidance.
When to use it
Useful when comparing Dutch household energy contracts, tracking how offers appear and disappear over time, or answering questions about market price levels and spreads without building a scraper yourself.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at switchje.nl; no packages, environment variables or headers are declared, and no authentication is declared. Network access to the endpoint is needed.
Before you install
Data covers the Dutch market only and is computed nightly, so it may lag same-day changes; a missing day means no valid run. Check the methodology tool for licence and attribution terms before republishing figures.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/nl.switchje%2Fopen-data/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
