Overview

AI-generated overview

SettleIt creates shareable links for group decisions — polls, check-ins, find-a-time boards and rankings — and lets an assistant read and record responses.

What you can do
  • Create polls, check-ins, availability boards and rankings from plain-language text and get a share link
  • Read a decision's current results: votes and leaders, rankings with points, In/Maybe/Out names, per-slot counts and best slots
  • Record one person's answer to a poll, ranking, check-in or availability board
  • Close or reopen a decision so responses stop or resume while results stay visible
  • Permanently delete a decision and all its responses
When to use it
Useful when a group needs to settle something simple — pick a restaurant, count who is coming, find a meeting time, or rank options — and you want the assistant to set up the link and later report the results without anyone signing up.
Requirements
Remote hosted endpoint; no installation, account, API key or environment variables are declared. The assistant needs the decision link or id to read results, and the admin_token to close, reopen or delete a decision.
Before you install
The admin_token and manage_url control closing, reopening and deleting a decision, so they should be kept private and shared only as the plain share link. Deleting is permanent and cannot be undone. Responses are recorded on someone's behalf, so only answer for a person who asked for it, and note that questions and options cannot contain URLs, emails or phone numbers.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open SettleIt in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/now.settleit%2Fsettleit/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

create_decision

Create a group decision

Create a poll, check-in, availability board, or ranking and get a link to share with the group. Easiest: pass `text` in plain language and SettleIt infers the type and options, e.g. "Dinner: pizza or thai" (poll), "Who's in for bowling Thursday?" (checkin), "Find a time for dinner next week" (availability), "Rank snacks: chips, popcorn, pretzels" (ranking). For exact control, pass `question` plus `options` (2-5 for polls, 2-12 for rankings); with `question` alone you get a check-in. Availability must be created from `text`. For availability, also pass the user's `timezone` (IANA name, e.g. "America/Los_Angeles") so the time slots are in their local time; without it slots are in UTC. Returns the decision (share its `url`), plus an `admin_token` and `manage_url` to keep private.

get_decision

Get decision results

Read a decision and its current results: votes and leaders for polls, rankings with points, In/Maybe/Out names for check-ins, and per-slot counts plus best_slot_ids for availability. Also returns the option or slot ids that respond_to_decision needs.

Parametersdecision_idrequired

respond_to_decision

Respond on behalf of a person

Record one person's answer, only when that person asked you to. Which fields you need depends on the decision's type (get_decision shows it in `respond.fields`): - poll: voter_id + option (exact label) or option_id - ranking: voter_id + order (every option label or id, best first) - checkin: name + status (in, maybe, out) - availability: name + slot_ids (from get_decision `slots`) Answering again with the same voter_id or name (case-insensitive) replaces that person's earlier answer.

close_decision

Close a decision

Stop accepting responses. Results stay visible. Requires the admin_token.

Parametersadmin_tokenrequireddecision_idrequired

reopen_decision

Reopen a decision

Accept responses again after closing (clears an automatic close time that has passed). Requires the admin_token.

Parametersadmin_tokenrequireddecision_idrequired

delete_decision

Delete a decision

Permanently delete a decision and all its responses. The share link stops working. This cannot be undone, so confirm with the user first. Requires the admin_token.
