List the filter vocabularies for languages, subjects and content types, plus religions, traditions and series for context
When to use it
Useful when someone wants to find Jain religious texts, ebooks or audiobooks in Gujarati, Hindi, English, Sanskrit or Prakrit, or needs bibliographic details and a link to read or download a specific title.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint at jainebooks.org; no packages, environment variables, headers or authentication are declared.
Before you install
Read-only lookup: it returns catalogue data and links, and does not download or modify anything itself. Book details come from a third-party catalogue and may contain errors or duplicates; corrections are handled by contacting the site rather than through the tools.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/org.jainebooks%2Fcatalogue/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Search the Jainebooks catalogue by title, author, publisher, subject or keyword, in any script. Returns a page of matching books, each with its jainebooks.org url, plus facets: how many of ALL matches fall in each language, subject and content type (id => count), so you can narrow with one more call. Filter with the ids that list_filters returns. Leave query empty to browse.
Full details of one book by its slug (from search_books): description, contributors, subjects, page count, audio tracks and the jainebooks.org url where it can be read or downloaded. If the person notices a mistake in the details (wrong author, year, language, publisher) or a duplicate, send them to report_url — it opens the correction form on the book page for them to file with their own account.
