Remote MCP server that tells skywatchers in Poland whether tonight's sky is worth a look: clouds, moon, ISS passes, aurora, planets, meteors, plus NASA APOD…
What you can do
Get a nightly verdict for a Polish city: cloud cover hour by hour, dark hours, moon phase, ISS pass, aurora chance, planets and meteor showers
Check ISS passes visible to the naked eye over the next 10 days, with times, directions, height and brightness
Assess aurora visibility from NOAA's Kp index for north, centre and south of Poland or a given city
List Mercury to Saturn over the next seven nights with best times, height, brightness and cloud cover
Look up the twelve main meteor showers for the next year, or a single shower, with peak times and moonlight
Fetch NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day and list near-Earth asteroids and comets for a date range
When to use it
Useful when someone in Poland asks whether it will be clear tonight, when the ISS is visible, whether the aurora can be seen, which planets are up, or when the Perseids or Geminids peak. It is a niche astronomy helper for Polish locations rather than a general weather or calendar service.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at kosmos.info.pl over streamable HTTP; no package, account, API key or environment variable is declared. Answers cover the 18 voivodeship seats, with coordinates mapped to the nearest one, and times are given in Polish time.
Before you install
Forecasts come from third-party sources (MET Norway, NOAA, NASA) and are predictions, not guarantees. The server only reads public data and declares no credentials, but requests reveal which Polish city and dates you ask about to the server and its upstream providers.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/pl.info.kosmos%2Fkosmos/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Tonight's verdict for a Polish city: worth it, maybe or not, and why; the dark hours and the clearest stretch, MET Norway's cloud cover hour by hour, the moon's phase and whether it is up, a visible ISS pass, the chance of the aurora, the planets up and a meteor shower near its maximum. Warsaw when no place is given.

iss_passes
ISS passes over a Polish city
When the International Space Station can be seen with the naked eye over a Polish city in the next 10 days: each pass with its start, highest point and end (time, direction, height above the horizon) and brightness.
Parameterslatloncitylang
aurora_forecast
Northern lights in Poland
Whether the aurora can be seen in Poland tonight, from NOAA's Kp index: the level (none, only on a photo, to the naked eye low in the north, high in the sky) in the north, centre and south of Poland or in a given city, the Kp each needs, Kp now and the forecast for the next days.

planets_tonight
Planets tonight
Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter and Saturn over a Polish city for the next seven nights: when each is at least 10° up in the dark, its highest point, brightness and the cloud cover then. Warsaw when no place is given.
Parameterslatloncitylang
meteor_showers
Meteor showers
The twelve main meteor showers seen from Poland for the next twelve months: activity, maximum (Polish time), ZHR, the best hours on the night of the maximum and whether the moon gets in the way. With a shower (e.g. perseids, geminids, Leonidy) only that one, and for the six main ones its night in each of the 18 cities.

astronomy_picture
NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day
Today's Astronomy Picture of the Day from NASA: its title, explanation (machine-translated into Polish with lang pl, when the translation is ready), credit and image address. Only today's picture.

near_earth_objects
Asteroids and comets passing Earth
The asteroids and comets passing Earth between two dates (seven days at most; today and the next six by default), from NASA's NeoWs: when each comes closest (Polish time), how far (km and lunar distances), how fast, how big, and whether NASA classes it as potentially hazardous, the closest first.
