Lets an assistant look up company profiles, tech stacks, tool-switch signals, contact emails and people through a hosted company-data service.

AgentData exposes tools for looking up a single domain's company record, searching companies by name, sector, size, model, technology or country, browsing a technology index, and reading signals about companies that added, removed or switched tools. With a free API key it also finds people by title, seniority or department and returns verified email addresses; an unkeyed session serves only the company, technology and signal tools. Every response ends with a usage line showing remaining reveals, requests and companies.

Use it for sales prospecting, market or account research, and vendor or technology landscape questions, such as which companies use a given tool or who recently dropped one. It suits assistants that need structured company and contact data rather than web browsing.
Requirements
Either connect to the remote Streamable HTTP endpoint at or run the npm package agentdata-mcp-server locally with Node.js (npx), which also supports an HTTP mode. Company, technology and signal tools need no key; emails and people require a free key sent as the Authorization header (Bearer YOUR_API_KEY) or passed as an --api-key argument. Network access is required, and anonymous use is rate limited.
Before you install
The Authorization bearer key is a secret and should be kept out of shared config files. Contact lookups are metered: 1,000 reveals a day on the free key, 10,000 on the paid Pro plan, and results include people's email addresses, so handle personal data accordingly. Results come from public-web profiling of third parties and may be incomplete or stale, and a domain that has not been profiled yet is crawled on request before answering.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open AgentData in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

AgentData MCP Server

Free company data for AI agents, as MCP tools. AgentData profiles companies from the public web: tech stacks, web signals (pricing page, free trial, API docs, careers), email addresses with their verification status, people with titles, and switch signals (who just dropped or adopted a tool).

Works with Claude, Claude Code, ChatGPT, Codex, Gemini, Cursor, Windsurf, VS Code, GitHub Copilot, Zed, Cline and any other MCP client.

Quick start

No key is needed to look up a company's public profile, search companies, browse technologies or read switch signals. Emails and people need a free API key (1,000 contact reveals a day, no card): sign up at agentdata.run/signup and copy the key from agentdata.run/settings.

Every response ends with a usage line (reveals, requests and companies left), so an agent can pace itself. A domain that has not been profiled yet is crawled on request and answers "retry in about two minutes" without charging. Without a key, find_people and get_person are not listed.

AGENTDATA_API_KEY, PORT and HOST work as environment variables. npm run inspect opens the MCP Inspector.

The HTTP server binds to 127.0.0.1 by default and only answers local pages, so a key you start it with cannot be used by other sites or other machines. --host 0.0.0.0 makes it public; in that mode the startup key is ignored and every caller must send its own Authorization: Bearer key.
