Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP endpoint for Superlog, an open-source observability agent that lets an assistant query application logs, traces, metrics and incidents.

What you can do
  • Query telemetry: ask about logs, traces and metrics collected from your applications
  • Investigate incidents: look up grouped incidents and their context
  • Debug production systems: use the assistant to explore OpenTelemetry data from a local-first observability workspace
  • No tool list is published, so exact capabilities depend on the hosted endpoint
When to use it
Useful when your team already sends OpenTelemetry traces, logs and metrics to Superlog and you want an assistant to help investigate incidents or debug production behavior without leaving the chat.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint at api.superlog.sh, reachable over the network. OAuth authentication is required. Telemetry must already be ingested into Superlog (self-hosted stack or the hosted Cloud edition).
Before you install
OAuth grants the assistant access to your telemetry workspace, which may contain sensitive production data such as logs and traces. The hosted Cloud edition has paid plans and credit packs. Review what data the assistant can read before connecting.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Superlog in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/sh.superlog%2Fsuperlog/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

What is Superlog?

Superlog is an open-core observability workspace for OpenTelemetry data. It ingests traces, logs, and metrics, groups noisy signals into incidents, and gives teams a local-first product surface for debugging production systems.

This repository contains the fully open-source, free community edition:

  • Web app and API
  • OTLP ingest proxy
  • Worker processes for incident grouping and background jobs
  • Postgres schema and ClickHouse-backed telemetry queries
  • Agent runner interfaces for pluggable investigation runtimes
  • A default community agent runner that records a local incident summary

We also provide a hosted Superlog Cloud edition with a free tier, a pay-to-go plan and monthly credit packs.

Quick Start
