Remote MCP server that lets an assistant look up HUD Fair Market Rents for FY 2027 by county, town or ZIP, with history and state summaries.
What you can do
Look up FY 2027 Fair Market Rents for a county, parish or New England town, studio to 4-bedroom, with the HUD FMR area and 2-bedroom history back to FY 2017
Look up ZIP-level Small Area FMRs, returning one row per area when a ZIP crosses areas
Get a state or national summary with median, lowest and highest 2-bedroom rents and biggest movers
Compare 2 to 10 counties side by side, sorted by the bedroom count you choose
When to use it
Useful when answering questions about HUD rent estimates, voucher payment standards or rent ceilings, or when comparing rental markets across counties and states. It is not a source of market asking rents or appraisals.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint at multifamily.today; no authentication, API key or environment variables declared. Network access is required.
Before you install
Results are HUD estimates, not market asking rents or appraisals; some metros still show FY 2026 rents. The site is published by Janover Capital LLC and is not affiliated with HUD, and results carry HUD source links that should be cited.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/today.multifamily%2Fmultifamily-today/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
