Overview

AI-generated overview

Four free tools that let an assistant inspect, filter, sort and edit explicitly supplied CSV text, keeping every value a literal string.

What you can do
Inspect CSV text: return record, column and cell counts with up to 20 preview records, preserving ragged and empty records.
When to use it
Use it when an assistant needs to quickly inspect, filter, sort or change individual cells in CSV text the user pastes in, especially small or ragged CSVs where no type inference or formula evaluation is wanted.
Requirements
Remote endpoint; no account or API key. Input and output are each limited to 256 KiB UTF-8, 50,000 cells and 200 columns.
Before you install
The edit tool changes existing cells by explicit coordinates, up to 1,000 edits, with duplicate coordinates applied in input order; changes exist only in the returned CSV. It does not read file paths or URLs and never evaluates formulas, so all values stay literal strings.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open CSV File Tools in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/tools.csvfile%2Fcsv-file-tools/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
