PetalPal serves public plant and flower care references: an assistant can search 202 species in ten languages and pull the matching care guide.
What you can do
Search plants by name, common alias or plant ID across ten languages, returning canonical IDs, category and care-page links
Retrieve a care guide for an exact plant ID: light, watering, temperature, feeding or flower food, first steps, daily care, FAQs and pet notes
Read the original page link, available references and editorial status alongside each guide
When to use it
When a user asks how to care for a houseplant, potted plant or bouquet and you want sourced, language-matched reference material rather than general model knowledge. Useful for light, watering, feeding and pet-safety questions.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no account, API key, environment variable or header is declared. Network access to the provider is needed.
Before you install
It is a general reference, not photo identification, so the user must confirm which plant they have. Answers should keep the source links and editorial status and must not invent missing references or dates. No account, private user data or paid model call is involved.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/top.petalpal%2Fplant-care/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Find plants by name, common alias or plant ID across ten languages. Returns canonical plant IDs, category and care-page links. Cut flowers and rooted potted plants are separate entries. Use a returned plant_id with get_plant_care; if several plants fit, ask the user which one they have.

Get a plant care guide
Retrieve the PetalPal care guide for an exact plant_id returned by search_plants: light, watering, temperature, feeding or flower food, first steps, daily care, FAQs and pet notes.
