A remote MCP server that turns movie and TV titles into shareable trailer lists that play inside the conversation or in a browser.
What you can do
Create a trailer list from movie and TV show titles, with trailers playing in the conversation where interactive results are supported and a link to open the same list in a browser, dubbed in the requested language when available. Look up which streaming services offer a title from a list in a given country, with a link to each. Check a list created earlier to see which titles play now, including titles that moved from pending to playable or to no trailer.
When to use it
Useful when a user asks for movie or TV recommendations and wants to watch the trailers, or wants a shareable, permanent page of trailers. Also handy for checking whether titles on an existing list have become playable and where they can be streamed by country.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at zinema.tv over streamable HTTP; no packages, environment variables, headers or authentication are declared. Interactive in-conversation playback depends on the client supporting interactive results.
Before you install
Creating lists writes data to zinema.tv and produces a public link that opens the same list in a browser. The where_to_watch tool is described as used by the trailer player and returns third-party streaming links, so availability and links come from outside sources.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/tv.zinema%2Fzinema/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Creates a trailer list on zinema.tv from movie and TV show titles. In apps that support interactive results, the trailers play in the conversation; the returned link opens the same list in a browser, with each trailer in the requested language when a dub exists. Use when the user asks for movie or show recommendations, or wants to see trailers for specific titles. Returns, for each title, what it matched (title, year, TMDB id) and whether a trailer is playable now, pending, or unavailable.

Check a list's playability
Check a zinema list you created earlier: which titles play now. A title that was 'pending' may have become 'playable' (its trailer gets acquired automatically) or 'no_trailer' (none exists anywhere).

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
