Overview

AI-generated overview

Precept is a B2B lead and company intelligence MCP server that lets an assistant search leads, enrich contacts and queue outreach.

What you can do
Search B2B leads and companies for prospecting lists and research, based on the registry description of lead and company intelligence. Enrich contact records with additional details about people and their companies. Queue outreach so prospects can be contacted through the Precept workflow. The manifest lists no individual tools, so exact operations and parameters should be confirmed in the Precept documentation before relying on them.
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs to build or research B2B prospect lists, fill in missing details on contacts and companies, or prepare outreach from within a chat session. Less relevant for consumer data, non-sales research, or work that does not involve lead generation.
Requirements
A Precept account and an API key from the Precept Developer Dashboard, supplied as the PRECEPT_API_KEY environment variable for the local npm package or through OAuth for the remote endpoint. Network access to the Precept service is required.
Before you install
The server handles business contact data and requires an API key, which should be kept out of logs and shared configurations. Queuing outreach can send messages or start campaigns on your behalf, so review what will be contacted before approving it. Enriched contact data is sent to and returned from Precept's servers, so consider privacy and consent obligations for the people in your lists.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open Precept in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/uk.co.preceptai%2Fprecept/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
