Remote MCP server that lets an assistant look up NVD CVE details and npm, PyPI and crates.io package download statistics.
What you can do
Look up a single CVE by ID and get its description, CVSS score, severity, dates, CWE and reference links from the NIST NVD
Get npm package download totals for the last week
Get PyPI download counts for the last day, week and month
Get crates.io download counts and latest version for a Rust crate
When to use it
Useful when checking whether a dependency has known vulnerabilities, or when comparing how widely used a JavaScript, Python or Rust package is before adopting or upgrading it.
Requirements
A remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no local install. Each tool call costs one credit, and an optional Authorization bearer key raises the free daily allowance; a free key is obtained from the provider's key endpoint.
Before you install
Calls consume credits against a daily free allowance, and the optional Authorization bearer key is a credential to keep private. The server queries third-party data sources (NIST NVD, npm, PyPI, crates.io) on your behalf.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/uk.co.reliness%2Fdev-security/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
