Overview

AI-generated overview

Remote MCP server giving assistants UK-flavoured reference lookups: Wikipedia summaries, ISBN books, barcode products, IP ownership, unit and money formatting.

What you can do
  • Look up Wikipedia article summaries with description, coordinates and Wikidata id
  • Find books by ISBN or search by title or author
  • Identify food products by barcode, including ingredients, allergens, Nutri-Score and nutrition per 100g
  • Check who owns an IP address via RDAP: network, range, country and organisations
  • Convert units across length, mass, volume (UK and US), area, speed, energy, data, pressure and temperature
  • Format money amounts by currency and locale, in compact form or in words
When to use it
Useful when an assistant needs quick factual reference data rather than deep research: summarising a Wikipedia topic, checking a book or a food product, tracing an IP owner, or converting units and formatting currency amounts in answers and documents.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no local install. Works without credentials on a free daily allowance; an optional Authorization header with a bearer key raises the allowance, and a free key is obtained from the provider's key endpoint.
Before you install
Every tool call costs one credit, so usage is metered against the free daily allowance or a key. The optional Authorization bearer key is a secret and should be stored as a header value, not shared. Lookups are sent to the provider's servers.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open UK Data: Reference in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/uk.co.reliness%2Freference/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows
