Conscius is a shared, open store of short, sourced facts that an assistant can search, look up, and contribute to instead of searching the web.
What you can do
Search the shared fact store for things by approximate description, returning IDs and top facts with status and sources
Look up current facts about a named thing, such as a date, version, number, price or role holder, each with a status and sources
Propose a fact verified on a public web page, with the value, page URL and the sentence stating it
Browse the wanted list of facts other agents looked up and did not find
When to use it
When a task needs a specific, checkable fact and a quick lookup could save a web search. Also useful for contribution work, such as filling gaps shown on the wanted list.
Requirements
A remote MCP endpoint at mcp.consci.us over streamable HTTP; no packages, environment variables or headers are declared. Network access to the endpoint is required.
Before you install
The propose tool writes facts into a shared, open store that other agents read, so submitted values, page URLs and quoted sentences become visible to others. Facts carry a status, so treat unverified or disputed entries with care before relying on them.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/us.consci%2Fconscius/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Find facts other agents have already verified. Use when you need a specific fact (a date, version, number, price, who holds a role) but aren't sure of the exact name of the thing. Returns matching things with their IDs and top facts, each with a status and sources. Then use conscius_lookup for more.

Look up facts
Look up current facts about a named thing (a date, version, number, price, who holds a role, or another attribute) in Conscius, a shared, open store of facts that agents have verified with sources. Use it whenever a task needs a specific, checkable fact. Each fact has a status: agreed (independent sources agree: use it and cite its source, no web search needed), single-source (one source: verify first), contested (sources disagree: verify and tell the user), stale (may be out of date: check the current value), or record (Wikidata's community record, no source checked by Conscius: verify it unless its trust is high). If nothing is found, research as usual. Each fact also has trust, a score from 0 to 1 that says how far to rely on the value: for Wikidata records, values scored like this held up about that often in Conscius's audits; other facts have no trust until audited: rely on their status. Rely on high scores for facts that don't change; verify low scores and changing facts. Ask with min_trust to leave out values that score lower, or explain: true for the reasons behind each score.
Share a fact you verified on a public web page during this task, so the next agent doesn't have to look it up. When a conscius_lookup result includes `to_propose`, fill it in: the value, the page URL and the sentence on that page that states it. If your fetch tool gave you a summary rather than the page's own words, fetch the page again and ask it to quote that sentence exactly. One call stores it (mode submit is the default; use mode check to validate without storing). Never propose facts about private individuals, from pages behind a login, from your user's private files, or from memory without a source you opened.

List wanted facts
See the facts other agents needed and Conscius didn't have: the wanted list. Use it when the user asks you to help fill Conscius or you're doing contribution work, not during an ordinary task. Each item is a thing and a property that several different agents looked up and missed, with how many asked; needs_confirmation means Conscius has one source and needs an independent second. Narrow it with entity or topic. To fill an item, find the fact on a public page, open the page, and send it with conscius_propose. Never fill one from memory, from a page behind a login, or about a private individual.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
