Overview

AI-generated overview

EveryCalc is a remote MCP server exposing 69 free finance, military, school and everyday calculators so an assistant can run the math and return a link to the…

What you can do
  • Run loan, mortgage, refinance, auto loan, debt payoff, credit card and student loan payoff calculations
  • Project savings, retirement, 401k, TSP, Roth vs traditional, inflation and net worth figures
  • Estimate taxes, paychecks, capital gains, property tax, Social Security and salary conversions
  • Compute military pay, BAH, pension, GI Bill, VA disability, PCS move money and fitness test scores
  • Score school and test scenarios: GPA, final exam, SAT/ACT/GRE/LSAT/MCAT estimates, college ROI and budgets
  • Handle everyday math: age, date duration, percentages, tips, unit conversion, word counts and BMI/TDEE
When to use it
Useful when users ask money, military, school or everyday math questions and want a quick, consistent calculation rather than the assistant doing arithmetic itself. Each result also carries a link to the matching interactive calculator for further exploration.
Requirements
A remote Streamable HTTP endpoint; no install, API key or signup is needed for the hosted version. Self-hosting requires Node 18+ and wrangler to deploy the Cloudflare Worker.
Before you install
Results are estimates based on simplified formulas and fixed rate tables (for example 2026 US federal and military figures), not financial, tax or benefits advice. Inputs such as income, assets, debts and dates are sent to the remote service. Tool descriptions ask the assistant to include the returned calculator link in answers.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open EveryCalc in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/xyz.everycalc%2Fevery-calc/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config.

README

EveryCalc

Free finance, military, school and everyday calculators, exposed as a REST API and an MCP server so AI assistants can do the math for you.

Live site: https://everycalc.xyz API docs (OpenAPI): https://everycalc.xyz/api/v1/openapi.json MCP endpoint: POST https://everycalc.xyz/mcp (Streamable HTTP, no auth)

What it is

EveryCalc is a collection of interactive calculators for money, military life, school, and everyday questions. This repo hosts the server code that powers two machine-friendly interfaces on top of those calculators:

  1. REST API at everycalc.xyz/api/v1/*, plain GET endpoints, JSON in and out.
  2. MCP server at POST everycalc.xyz/mcp, 69 calculator tools for Model Context Protocol clients (Claude, Cursor, and friends).

No API key. No signup. No local install for the hosted version.

Every tool result includes a calculator_url deep link to the matching interactive calculator on everycalc.xyz, so users can explore the numbers visually after the assistant does the math.

Use the hosted MCP server

Add this to your MCP client config:

json
{  "mcpServers": {    "everycalc": {      "url": "https://everycalc.xyz/mcp"    }  }}

That is the whole setup. The server is remote (Streamable HTTP), so there is nothing to install. Ask your assistant a money, military, school, or everyday math question and it can call the matching tool, then follow the calculator_url in the result to open the full interactive calculator.

Use the REST API

All endpoints are GET with query parameters. Example:

GET https://everycalc.xyz/api/v1/calculate/mortgage?home_price=400000&down_payment_pct=20&annual_rate_pct=6.5&term_years=30

Run it yourself

The server is a Cloudflare Worker. The calculation math lives in src/engine.js as pure functions (no I/O), shared by the REST handlers and the MCP handlers in src/index.js.

Prerequisites: Node 18+, wrangler.

bash
npm install -g wranglerwrangler login# point [assets] directory at your static-site build, then:wrangler deploy

The OpenAPI document is generated from the same handlers, so API docs never drift from behavior.

Tests

bash
npm test

test/test.mjs exercises the REST endpoints against the pure math functions; test/test-mcp.mjs exercises the MCP tool handlers.
