Overview

AI-generated overview

A remote MCP server that lets an assistant check Solana rent-reduction status and reclaim overpaid rent from a wallet's token accounts.

What you can do
Check where Solana's rent reduction (SIMD-0437) stands, including the live lamports_per_byte and which steps are live or queued on chain, plus when the next step is expected. Scan a Solana wallet's token accounts and mints to see reclaimable SOL: excess rent, empty token accounts, mint excess, the service fee, the net amount and a forecast for remaining rent steps. Build the reclaim as unsigned, simulated Solana transactions that withdraw excess rent, close empty accounts and pay the service fee last. Submit signed transactions after checking them against the built ones, returning each transaction's signature and status.
When to use it
Useful when you hold Solana token accounts with overpaid rent deposits and want to see what can be reclaimed, or when you want to track the rollout of SIMD-0437 before acting.
Requirements
A remote endpoint at unrent.xyz over streamable HTTP; no API key or environment variables are declared. A Solana wallet with token accounts, and a way to sign the transactions it builds.
Before you install
The service charges a fee, paid as the last instruction of the reclaim transactions. build_reclaim produces transactions that withdraw rent and close empty token accounts, and tokens may be burned for accounts you list; submit_reclaim sends signed transactions to Solana and a claim can be submitted only once. Review and sign transactions yourself; the server is described as non-custodial.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open UNRENT in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/xyz.unrent%2Funrent/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

get_rent_status

Solana rent reduction status (SIMD-0437)

Where Solana's rent reduction (SIMD-0437) stands: the live lamports_per_byte, which of the five steps are live, when the next is expected, and whether a step is already queued on chain (it then activates at the next epoch boundary). Older accounts keep their higher deposit until it is withdrawn; each step makes more SOL reclaimable.

Takes no parameters.

scan_wallet

Scan a wallet for reclaimable rent

Reads the token accounts and mints of a Solana wallet and returns the SOL that can be reclaimed now: excess rent (WithdrawExcessLamports, accounts stay open), empty token accounts (CloseAccount) and mint excess, the UNRENT service fee, the net amount, a forecast for the remaining rent steps, and tokens that may optionally be burned and closed (dust). Read-only, needs no signature. Amounts are in SOL. Also returns signUrl: a link to finish the reclaim on unrent.xyz with a browser wallet (Phantom, Solflare, Backpack…), for when you cannot sign for the wallet yourself.

build_reclaim

Build the reclaim transactions

Re-scans the wallet on the chain and builds the reclaim as unsigned, simulated Solana transactions (base64, versioned). They withdraw excess rent, close empty accounts and pay the service fee as the last instruction; nothing else leaves the wallet. Tokens are only burned for accounts listed in `burn`. The wallet's owner signs every transaction unchanged (the fee payer is the wallet, compute budget instructions may be added) and passes them to submit_reclaim within about 30 seconds, before the blockhash expires. Do not send them yourself.

submit_reclaim

Send the signed reclaim

Checks the signed transactions against the ones build_reclaim made (same instructions, same fee, signed by the wallet) and sends them to Solana. Returns the signature and status of every transaction. A claim can be submitted once; after an expired blockhash, build again.
