Overview

AI-generated overview

A read-only remote connector to NuMetric.work accounting and ERP data, letting an assistant answer questions about statements, KPIs, invoices, projects and tax.

What you can do
Read the ledger: chart of accounts with balances, transaction search and detail, journal, financial statements, audit trail and change history, per-account reports, and net movement by month or quarter, plus KPIs and cash position. Review sales and payables: invoices, cash invoices, estimates, receivables and payables aging, bills, customers and customer subscriptions. Report on tax, projects and multi-project profit and loss, cashier sales and attendance, invoice sources, products and stock movement, and fixed assets with custody. Browse and download documents attached to records, including bundles as ZIP. Manage the session: list and select a business, and view your own NuMetric plan and,
When to use it
Use it when you want an assistant to answer questions from your actual NuMetric books, such as balance sheets, profit and loss, cash runway, overdue invoices, sales tax, project profitability or attached documents, without exporting data by hand.
Requirements
A remote Streamable-HTTP endpoint with OAuth 2.1 sign-in; no local package. A NuMetric.work account on any plan, your region, and an MCP client that supports remote servers with OAuth. Access follows your existing NuMetric permissions.
Before you install
Sign-in happens on NuMetric's own page; the assistant receives only a short-lived token, not your password. All tools are read-only and no write, payment or transfer tool exists. Figures marked Guarded may be stale or unbalanced and should be treated as unconfirmed. Reads are rate-limited and audit-logged, and document downloads return file contents.

Installation

In SourceWeft

  1. Open NuMetric in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
  2. Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
  3. Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.

Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.

Use with an agent

Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.

Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/xyz.virifi.numetric-mcp%2Fnumetric/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.

Read the install guide the agent follows

Other MCP clients

Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

A Model Context Protocol server for the NuMetric.work POS / ERP / accounting platform. It exposes your live business data as read-only tools, so an AI assistant answers from your actual books instead of guessing.

It never creates, edits, or deletes anything.

Any other MCP client

Point it at the Streamable-HTTP endpoint above. The server advertises OAuth 2.1 discovery (RFC 9728 / RFC 8414), so compliant clients start the sign-in flow automatically.

Requirements

  • A NuMetric.work account (any plan).
  • Your region (e.g. JO, SA, or Global).
  • An MCP client that supports remote servers with OAuth.

Access follows your existing NuMetric permissions — you only ever see the modules you already have rights to. A tool you lack permission for returns SCOPE_REQUIRED rather than data.

Choosing a business

If your account has more than one business, ask your assistant to list your businesses, then select one ("list my businesses" → "use Acme Trading"). The choice sticks for the session and you can switch anytime. Single-business accounts are selected automatically.

get_subscriptionYour own NuMetric plan (what you pay NuMetric, not your customers' subscriptions) and what it includes: the plan you are on, your effective limits, how much of your transaction and seat allowance is left, who has access to the account, which capabilities are available, per-business feature toggles, and which tools your permissions allow

Machine-readable schema for every tool: mcp-schema.json.

Read-only by design

Every tool carries readOnlyHint: true. There is no payment, transfer, trade, create, edit, or delete tool in this server — not gated, not present. That is meant literally: as of 0.9.0 the write code was removed from the deployed server rather than left behind a feature flag, so there is no configuration that turns it on. Read-only tools run without per-call confirmation in clients that honor the hint.

Verified vs. Guarded

Every computed figure carries a confidence value:

  • Verified — the figure comes straight from NuMetric's accounting engine and reconciles.
  • Guarded — NuMetric flagged it as possibly stale or unbalanced, or it is a snapshot rather than a live read. Your subscription entitlements are always Guarded: NuMetric provides no way to re-read them, so they reflect the moment you connected and refresh when you reconnect. Usage figures are the exception worth knowing about — seat counts come from NuMetric directly, while the transaction count is measured from your ledger and is reported with its basis.

The server instructs connecting assistants to hedge on Guarded figures rather than present them as final. Claude reports what your books say; it does not recompute your accounting itself.

Authentication

OAuth 2.1 with PKCE (S256). You sign in on NuMetric's own page — your credentials are exchanged for a token server-side and held in an encrypted vault. The assistant only ever holds a short-lived token scoped to this server; your NuMetric password and API token never reach it.

Your business identity and region are bound to the authenticated principal and are never passed by the AI caller. Disconnect anytime from your client's connector settings.

Privacy & security

  • Read-only — no tool can move money or change your data.
  • Credentials never reach the AI client.
  • Encrypted in transit and at rest.
  • Every read is rate-limited per principal and written to an audit log.

See the Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.
