Every item is a shadcn registry item. In a project set up with the shadcn CLI, React 19 and Tailwind CSS 4:
The theme, the cn helper and every primitive the item uses come with it, and imports are rewritten to your own aliases.
To use the short form, declare the registry in components.json:
The MCP server at https://ui.ndekocode.dev/mcp lets Claude, Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed and other MCP clients search the catalogue, read the source of an item, get its install command and follow the design rules. Setup for each client: ui.ndekocode.dev/mcp/connect.
For language models, the catalogue is also described in llms.txt and, item by item, in llms-full.txt. The registry index is at r/registry.json.
Node.js 24 and pnpm are required.
The rules every item follows (tokens, lines, materials, motion, writing) are in docs/DESIGN-SYSTEM.md.

Search the ndekoui registry by words, ranked like the search on ui.ndekocode.dev: titles first, then names, groups and descriptions. Use it before list_items when you know what you need ("pricing", "date range", "kanban"). Filter by kind: primitive, component, block, template, motion or lib.

Build the shadcn CLI command that installs one or more ndekoui items, for npm, pnpm, yarn or bun. Returns the command with full registry URLs, which works in any shadcn project, and the shorter @ndeko form for projects whose components.json declares the namespace.

Get design guidelines
The rules for writing UI that looks and moves like ndekoui: surfaces and hairlines, radius, colour, type, how to compose the Base UI primitives, the motion signatures and their timing, and what to avoid. Call it once before writing UI. Pass section with a number or a title ("7", "motion") to read one section of the design system in full, or "all" for the whole document.
