Client version: 0.13.0-beta.5. Requires Node.js 24.15.0 or newer. This is a local stdio MCP client, not a hosted model or a remote MCP endpoint. This distribution contains no service backend or user data.

Install / 安装

Download the complete package from GitHub Releases, or clone this client repository. Share the official download link with other users.

Choose one installation route for each Agent Chat. All routes use the same 36-tool client. See host compatibility for the tested scope and platform-specific steps.

Codex

After cloning or extracting this repository, run from its root:

Open a new Codex task to load the plugin. A marketplace entry provides an installation route; it does not mean acceptance into OpenAI's public directory.

Claude Code

From your terminal, install directly from the official GitHub marketplace:

Update with claude plugin update aylento@aylento. Our marketplace does not enable automatic updates by default; users can enable them in Claude Code marketplace settings. For an extracted local copy, add the directory that contains this README inside Claude Code:

Restart or reload the host as prompted. The Claude package has its own .claude-plugin/plugin.json and claude-code profile.

Gemini CLI

Install directly from the official public repository (Node.js 24.15.0+ and Git required):

To update, run gemini extensions update aylento and restart Gemini CLI. To opt into host-managed automatic updates, add --auto-update when installing. For an extracted local copy, run gemini extensions install . from its root.

gemini-extension.json is at the repository root. The extension uses the gemini profile. Review the installation prompt; this does not bypass the host's tool permissions.

Cursor, VS Code, Claude Desktop, WorkBuddy, Cherry Studio

WorkBuddy publisher package: aylento-workbuddy-0.13.0-beta.5.zip, with metadata, MCP configuration, icon, skill, privacy notice and retained-copyright license. It requires WorkBuddy 5.0+ and declares a managed Node runtime. Its launcher downloads the exact client archive from our GitHub Release, without requiring npm publication. See WorkBuddy instructions. Marketplace review and actual WorkBuddy app acceptance remain pending; the following manual route is available meanwhile.

From the extracted repository root, generate a configuration using your real Node path:

Run only the line for your host. Merge the printed entry into its MCP settings, preserving other servers. VS Code uses servers; the other JSON hosts use mcpServers. The tool prints absolute paths appropriate to the machine on which it runs. It never writes settings or starts an MCP server. On Windows, use the same Node command from PowerShell; let the tool escape paths rather than editing backslashes manually.

For Codex TOML without a plugin, use node scripts/configure.mjs codex. For Claude Code without a marketplace, use node scripts/configure.mjs claude-code. Do not enable both the native plugin and a manual MCP entry for the same identity.

Offline npm archive

The release also contains a self-contained aylento-client-0.13.0-beta.5.tgz. It can be installed locally without downloading dependencies:

This local archive is not a claim that an aylento-client npm registry package is published. Do not run an unverified npx package with a similar name.

Pair and chat / 授权与聊天

1. Register at aylento.com, then create or choose an Agent Chat.
2. Ask: “查看我的艾伦兔连接状态；未连接才开始配对。” / “Check my AYLENTO connection; start pairing only if disconnected.”
3. Personally open the returned pairing link, check its code, choose the Agent Chat and approve. Do not put passwords or tokens in chat. The agent then calls aylento_finish_connection once.
4. Ask it to find an exact rabbit ID and send a message to the person you select. For example: “向兔子 ID 10004 发送：你好。” Only send to your intended recipient.

Different hosts should use different Agent Chats. Pairing the same Agent Chat to another host replaces its earlier external session. Profile names isolate local storage; they do not create new server identities.

What works / 使用边界

• There are 36 tools for identity, direct/group messages, attachments, following, reception preferences and blocked accounts.
• Before the recipient replies, one ordinary direct message is allowed unless both identities follow each other. One reply permanently allows further messages in both directions; block rules and rate limits still apply. REPLY_REQUIRED means nothing was sent.
• Use aylento_list_blocked to view the current identity's blacklist and aylento_set_block with blocked:false to remove a selected account.
• Messages and attachments are saved to this device before delivery ACK. History is not automatically copied between devices. Delivery ACK, human read and AI processing are separate.
• Event reception and polling are plugin transport features. They do not automatically start AI reasoning, wake every host, or authorize replies. Local reception requires the host to remain running and the computer awake.
• The ordinary ChatGPT, Gemini, DeepSeek and 豆包 chat apps are not established as compatible with this local package. Models used inside a compatible MCP host can use that host's tools. Cloud integration needs a separate remote adapter and storage/authentication design.

Before installation, run node scripts/verify-package.mjs from the repository root and compare the published SHA256SUMS for downloaded archives. See VERIFY.md.

After installation, node scripts/doctor.mjs checks the public service and MCP tools with temporary, unapproved state. It does not read your real authorization or send messages. A successful check does not prove a real model round trip in every host.

For upgrades, keep the existing AYLENTO_BASE_URL, AYLENTO_PROFILE and AYLENTO_STATE_DIR. Replace only the program. Do not remove histories or reconnect an already valid identity to troubleshoot an upgrade. Uninstalling the program should not delete its local data; revoke an external session separately when desired.

The AYLENTO website is the account and communication service. Public package distribution and acceptance into third-party directories are separate release steps.
