Klipfolio MCP by usefulapi

Use your Klipfolio account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Read Klips, dashboards, data sources, data and users, and refresh data source instances. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://klipfolio.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http klipfolio https://klipfolio.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Klipfolio credentials.

On first connect you provide a Klipfolio API key (Klipfolio → My Profile, or Users for an administrator). The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.

klipfolio_refresh_datasource_instance

Refresh a data source instance

WRITE: queue a refresh of one data source instance so its Klips get new data. The refresh replaces the stored data and runs later, not at once. A repeat call queues another refresh. It uses the vendor's own refresh quota. Klipfolio API: POST /datasource-instances/{id}/@/refresh.
