On first connect you provide your WeFile API key (in the WeFile developer dashboard under API Access; it needs the Developer Package). The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.
read tools are read-only; write tools mutate data (clients should confirm them); meta tools report usage, manage your subscription or send a feature request.
*Pro has a fair use limit of 10,000 tool calls a month on this server. For more, write to [email protected].
Pro covers this server only. Subscribe with wefile_upgrade (it returns a Stripe Checkout link). Cancel any time with wefile_cancel_subscription: Pro continues to the end of the paid period, with no refund for the current period, and running wefile_upgrade before then undoes the cancel. List companies
List the companies in your WeFile workspace, with their WeFile company id, name, Companies House number and filing count. Start here to find the companyId for other tools. WeFile API: GET /companies.

Save the figures and settings of a draft filing. Set profitLossData and balanceSheetData from the figures the user gives; WeFile computes the totals and the tax. Remove the stored HMRC gateway id, gateway password and Companies House code from a filing. Other fields stay. Refused while a submission is in flight. WeFile API: POST /filing/credentials/delete.

Send a filing to HMRC, Companies House or both. A live key (wf_live_) files a real return, so confirm the figures first; try a test key (wf_test_) before a live one. Pass the gateway credentials here for this call only: WeFile uses them once and does not store them. Check the result with wefile_get_filing_status. WeFile API: POST /filing/submit.
