執行需求
遠端 Streamable HTTP 端點，無需安裝。免費層不需帳號，以 IP 位址識別。可選擇在 Authorization 標頭提供 Bearer API 金鑰（在 Epublys 帳號中建立），以使用帳號額度與 Pro 功能。檔案以 base64 字串傳遞，大檔案會產生較大負載。
安裝前請注意

Epublys MCP Server

Remote MCP server for EPUB and PDF ebook manipulation — merge, split, compress, convert, edit metadata, validate, and generate AI covers. Backed by epublys.com, running on Cloudflare Workers.

This is a hosted server (Streamable HTTP). There is nothing to install — this repository holds the public manifests, configuration examples, and documentation.

Quickstart

Without a key (free tier)

The free tier is identified by IP address and shares the website's free daily allowance. It is permanent, not a trial.

With a key (your account's allowance, Pro)

  1. Sign in at https://epublys.com/account and create an API key (epl_… — shown once).
  2. Send it as a Bearer header:

A wrong, malformed or revoked key is a 401, not a silent fall back to the free tier. The key goes in the Authorization header only; a key in the URL is rejected.

Privacy

Files are processed in memory and never stored. There is no upload bucket, no retention, no content logging. Anonymous usage metrics only (tool name, status, sizes).

About this repository

The Epublys service itself is closed-source. This repository contains only the public MCP manifests (server.json, smithery.yaml) and documentation, and is the canonical public home for the com.epublys/epublys registry entry. Issues are welcome for MCP integration problems; for product support use https://epublys.com/about.

Split an EPUB. With a chapter range (chapterStart and/or chapterEnd) the result is ONE base64-encoded EPUB of exactly those chapters, in order, with the book's metadata, a table of contents limited to them and the fonts and images they use. Without a range the result is a base64-encoded ZIP archive holding one EPUB per chapter. upgrade_to_pro

Get a checkout link so the user can upgrade THIS account to Epublys Pro. Call this when another tool is refused with `daily_limited` or a Pro-only error, or when the user asks to upgrade. Returns a Stripe checkout URL to hand to the user — they complete payment in their own browser. Creates no charge by itself, and the link is bound to the account that owns the API key being used, so it cannot be used to pay for anyone else. If the account is already Pro it says so and returns no link. Needs an API key: without one it returns the pricing URL instead of a checkout link. Free: 3 operations/day, 5MB per file.
