Use this when someone wants to know whether specific domain names can be registered and what they cost. Checks up to 20 names (exact domains, or a name plus endings) with the live registrar and returns, for each, whether it can be registered, the first-year and renewal price in USD, and the reason when it cannot. For many names at once, use screen_domains first.

Use this to check many names at once (up to 500, or one name across every ending with tlds ["all"]): whether each is already registered, from DNS and public registry records, with its registrar and expiry date. It is a quick screen, not the registrar's answer: confirm the names you will suggest with search_domains.

Use this when someone asks about one existing domain: which registrar it is with, when it was registered and expires, whether it is locked, its nameservers and DNS host, its email setup (MX, SPF, DMARC) and whether its website answers over HTTPS. Public records only; owner contact details are not returned.
