執行需求
以 uvx 透過 stdio 在本機執行（uv 會安裝 Python 3.10+）。需要 RapidAPI 金鑰（RAPIDAPI_KEY）或 api.market 金鑰（API_MARKET_KEY）；兩者都設定時以 HFL_MARKETPLACE 選擇市集。需要連線至 Unfold API 的網路。本機檔案上限 10 MB，輸出上限 500,000 字元。
安裝前請注意
轉換 API 為付費服務：每次工具呼叫算一次請求，免費 Basic 方案每月 15 次且有硬性上限。你指定的本機檔案會在該次請求中上傳到第三方 API。金鑰只會傳送給你選擇的市集，但仍屬機密，不應寫進共用設定。

安裝

在 SourceWeft 中

  1. 開啟 儀表板中的 Unfold Mcp，將其新增到工作區。
  2. 為需要使用其工具的對話啟用該服務。

Desktop only，透過 STDIO。 STDIO 服務會啟動本機處理程序，因此需要 SourceWeft 桌面主機。

Unfold MCP server

Give your AI agent the content of PDF, Word (DOCX), PowerPoint (PPTX) and Excel (XLSX) documents as Markdown, from a URL or a local file.

The server is open source (MIT). It calls the Unfold API, which is paid, with a free plan.

  • You use your own key, from RapidAPI or api.market.
  • Every tool call is one request on your plan.
  • The free Basic plan has 15 requests a month, with a hard limit, so it never runs up a bill.

The server runs locally over stdio with uv. Put your key in its environment.

3. Tools

The format is detected from the content.

Every tool returns the API's JSON response.

  • When the marketplace reports it, quota_remaining is added: the requests left on your plan this month.
  • Errors are explained in plain words, with what to do next:
    • key refused, with the link to subscribe;
    • quota reached, with the plans;
    • input the API couldn't process, with the API's reason.

Privacy

  • Local files are read only when a tool is given their path. They are sent to the API for that one request.
  • The API processes inputs in memory and doesn't store them. See the privacy policy.
  • Your key is only sent to the marketplace you chose.

Limits

  • Local files up to 10 MB.
  • Markdown up to 500,000 characters.
  • The server needs Python 3.10+ (uv installs it for you).

scripts/e2e_stdio.py unfold runs the server over stdio, as a client would, and calls its tools against the real API. It needs RAPIDAPI_KEY or API_MARKET_KEY.

MIT. Unfold itself is a paid API with a free plan, run by ByteStay.
