執行需求
透過 npx 或 Docker 映像以本機 stdio 程序執行；需要 Exa API 金鑰，放在 EXA_API_KEY 環境變數中，並以 x-api-key 標頭送出；需要連線至 Exa API 的網路；僅限桌面環境。
安裝前請注意
需要 Exa API 金鑰，該金鑰會存於用戶端設定並傳送給 Exa；查詢內容與請求的網址會送往第三方 API，請避免送出機密資料；用量可能由 Exa 依你的帳戶計費。

安裝

在 SourceWeft 中

  1. 開啟 儀表板中的 Deepsearch，將其新增到工作區。
  2. 為需要使用其工具的對話啟用該服務。

Desktop only，透過 STDIO。 STDIO 服務會啟動本機處理程序，因此需要 SourceWeft 桌面主機。

deepsearch

deepsearch asks Exa's neural index questions the way a researcher would. A plain search returns the pages that best match the meaning of a query, with their text already pulled in. A code question gets a context pack instead: examples and documentation excerpts gathered from across the web and sized to a token budget you choose. And when you already know the page you want, a crawl fetches that one page and hands back its words. It runs from the command line or as an MCP server for agents.

An Exa API key is required. Put it in the EXA_API_KEY environment variable; the key is sent to the API as the x-api-key header and never appears in output. When the variable is missing, every operation fails with an error that names it.

The container defaults to the MCP server (see below). Pass CLI arguments to use it as a CLI instead.

Exit codes: 0 on success, 1 when an operation fails (including a missing EXA_API_KEY or an API error), 2 for usage errors.

One bin serves both faces. The mcp subcommand starts a stdio MCP server:

Tools

These are the original server's default-enabled tools:

Token budgets are clamped to the documented 1000–50000 range and are applied at roughly four characters per token. An empty result set is reported as such; a page the API cannot fetch, a missing key, or a failed API call is reported as a tool error.
