可以做什麼: 執行二分類、連續與存活終點的終點設計，包含樣本數計算與基於 gsDesign/gsDesign2 的成組序貫界值。建立多假設設計，涵蓋共同主要終點、多族群與圖形化多重性控制。驗證並基準測試設計，核對計算結果是否符合預期。依計算結果產生設計報告。每次工具呼叫都會啟動一個 Rscript 子程序並交換 JSON，耗時約 300 毫秒加上 R 運算時間。
適用情境: 適合統計師或臨床研究人員讓助理在對話中草擬與檢查第 2 期或第 3 期確證性試驗設計、樣本數、序貫監測界值與多重性校正。
執行需求: 以 npm 套件（clinical-trial-design）形式透過 stdio 在本機執行，需要 Node.js 以及已安裝且 Rscript 在 PATH 上的 R 環境。DESIGNR_RSCRIPT 可指定 Rscript 路徑，DESIGNR_LAUNCHER 可覆寫內建的 launcher.R。未宣告任何身分驗證或 API 金鑰。

安裝前請注意

輸出屬於統計計算而非法規建議，使用前應由合格統計師複核。伺服器會啟動本機 R 程序，逾時為 60 秒；兩個環境變數可改變所執行的 R 腳本與啟動器，請只指向可信檔案。

clinical-trial-design MCP server

TypeScript MCP server that exposes the ClinicalTrialDesign R package as 9 trial-design tools over stdio (3 endpoint + 3 multi-hypothesis + 3 meta). One Rscript subprocess per tool call, JSON roundtrip, ~300 ms per call + R compute. Covers Phase 2 and Phase 3 confirmatory designs.

Published to npm as clinical-trial-design and to the official MCP registry as io.github.wei-ai-lab/clinical-trial-design.

Expected: 18 pass / 0 fail / 18 total. The R sources are loaded directly by r/inst/launcher.R (or ../r-package/ClinicalTrialDesign/inst/launcher.R in dev); no remotes::install_local step required.

Environment

DESIGNR_RSCRIPT — full path to Rscript if not on PATH.
DESIGNR_LAUNCHER — full path to launcher.R if you need to override the default. Wire-format identifier preserved as a stability commitment (see API_STABILITY.md).
