Kourses MCP by usefulapi

Use your Kourses account from Claude, Cursor, or any MCP client. Read your memberships and member access, and create members or grant and revoke membership access. Hosted, no local install: connect with your own credentials.

Connect

  • Claude (claude.ai, Desktop): open Customize → Connectors, click + Add → Add custom connector, and paste https://kourses.usefulapi.io/mcp.
  • Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http kourses https://kourses.usefulapi.io/mcp, then run /mcp to log in.
  • VS Code: Add to VS Code.
  • Cursor and other clients: add the URL as a remote MCP server:

Add only the URL. Do not add an Authorization header or an API key to the client config: the server signs you in with OAuth, and the login page asks for your Kourses credentials.

On first connect you provide a Kourses API key (Kourses → Settings → API keys, created for one website). The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.

Grant membership access

Give a member access to a membership, optionally until a date. No email is sent unless send_notification is true. Repeating a call keeps one permission, but sends the email again when send_notification is true. Kourses API: POST /members/{member}/memberships/{membership}/permissions.
