On first connect you provide a Realtime Register API key (created on your profile page; it is shown only once) and your customer handle (the account name in the API paths). The server validates it and stores it per user. No keys go in config files.
read tools are read-only; write tools mutate data (clients should confirm them); meta tools report usage, manage your subscription or send a feature request.
*Pro has a fair use limit of 10,000 tool calls a month on this server. For more, write to [email protected].
Pro covers this server only. Subscribe with realtimeregister_upgrade (it returns a Stripe Checkout link). Cancel any time with realtimeregister_cancel_subscription: Pro continues to the end of the paid period, with no refund for the current period, and running realtimeregister_upgrade before then undoes the cancel. Check a domain
Check whether a domain name is available to register, with its price if it is premium. Check one name per call and wait at least one second before the next call (vendor acceptable use policy). Realtime Register API: GET /domains/{domainName}/check.

Change the SOA settings, name servers or records of a DNS zone. Read the zone first with realtimeregister_get_dns_zone and send only the fields you change. Changes reach the public internet after DNS caches expire. Send writes one at a time, at least one second apart (vendor acceptable use policy). Returns the process id to poll with realtimeregister_get_process. Realtime Register API: POST /dns/zones/{id}/update.
