Countersign gives an assistant an independent, signed check of work — recomputing math, checking quotes, sources, links and code — plus a public log to verify…
What you can do
Stamp work such as reports, calculations, summaries, filings or code with an independent check that recomputes arithmetic, looks up cited quotes and values, opens links and parses code
Verify a stamp by id, optionally against the exact text, confirming it is in the public log and that its hash and signature are valid
Read the public stamp log from a sequence number onward, along with its head hash and public key
When to use it
Use it when you want a second, signed opinion on AI-produced output before relying on it or passing it on, or when you need to confirm that a stamp someone showed you is genuine and matches a specific piece of text.
Requirements
Remote streamable HTTP endpoint; no packages, environment variables or headers are declared, and no authentication is declared.
Before you install
Stamping sends the work being checked, and any links it cites, to a third-party service; avoid submitting confidential material. Stamps are recorded in a public log, so treat stamped content as publicly attributable. Verification only confirms a stamp's presence and signature, not that the underlying work is correct.
Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/ai.llpro.countersign%2Fcountersign/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.
Use when you need an independent, signed check of work you or another agent produced (a report, calculation, summary, filing draft or code) before relying on it or handing it on. Countersign re-computes arithmetic, looks up quotes and values in the cited sources, opens links and parses code, then returns a signed stamp (pass, fail or inconclusive) saying exactly what is wrong, with time and method. The stamp is kept in a public log. It never checks work it produced.
Confirm a Countersign stamp is real: give a stamp id (and optionally the work, to confirm the stamp is for exactly that text). Returns whether it is in the public log and whether its hash and signature are valid.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
