Overview

AI-generated overview

Lets an assistant search deduplicated job requisitions across providers and a hidden-ATS index, check hiring signals, and price searches.

What you can do
  • Search job requisitions across multiple providers and a hidden-ATS index, with duplicate listings merged
  • Check hiring activity for a company or role
  • Price searches, described as free
  • Run the find_reqs tool, which requires an API key; the other tools are keyless
When to use it
Useful when you want an assistant to look up open roles, compare postings across job boards without duplicates, or gauge whether a company is hiring.
Requirements
Runs locally over stdio via npx from the npm package betterjobs-mcp, so Node.js is needed. An API key in BETTERJOBS_API_KEY (a bj_live_ key from the provider's signup page) is required for find_reqs; other tools are keyless. BETTERJOBS_API_URL optionally overrides the API base URL, which defaults to the provider's API host. Network access to the provider's API is required.
Before you install
The API key is a secret passed via BETTERJOBS_API_KEY; keep it out of shared configs and logs. Queries and search terms are sent to the provider's API. The input does not state whether searches cost money beyond describing them as free.

Score

25% of the applicable checks met

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.

  • Reached in the last 30 days25 pts

Keep the endpoint answering the MCP handshake; SourceWeft probes it every 30 days.

  • Auth declared10 pts

Declare the credential headers in the registry entry, or keep the endpoint answering the probe so its auth can be classified.

  • Tools listed15 pts

Answer tools/list without a credential, or ship a package that starts in a sandbox without one.
