Fill PDF and Word templates, generate PDFs and Word documents, and collect e-signatures.
Overview
DocSpring's remote MCP server lets an assistant find and fill PDF and Word templates, generate documents, and send templates for e-signature.
- What you can do
- Find your DocSpring templates and fill them, producing test PDFs
- Turn PDF forms, HTML/CSS designs and Word documents into templates, with field detection and versioning
- Design page layouts from JSON: sections, text with fields, tables and images
- Send templates for signature, create signing links and embed signing in an app
- Write app code against DocSpring's API clients, including webhooks and embedded forms
- When to use it
- Useful when you want an assistant to prepare documents from your DocSpring templates, iterate on template designs with test renders, or wire DocSpring document generation and signing into an application.
- Requirements
- Remote MCP endpoint reached over streamable HTTP; no local package. A DocSpring account and an OAuth sign-in are required. EU accounts use the separate EU server endpoint and must sign in to it.
Installation
In SourceWeft
- Open DocSpring in the dashboard and add it to a workspace.
- Connect the required credentials. They are stored privately and never shown on public pages.
- Enable the server for the chats that should use its tools.
Web executable via Streamable HTTP. Remote servers run from the web runtime once configured in a workspace.
Use with an agent
Paste this prompt into Claude Code, Codex, Cursor or another agent — or into SourceWeft chat. The agent reads this server's install guide, shows you its publisher, endpoint and sign-in, and adds it to your client once you agree. Keys never go into a command.
Read https://sourceweft.com/mcp/com.docspring%2Fmcp/install.md and connect the MCP server it describes to my client. Before changing any config, show me its publisher, endpoint and sign-in method and wait for my OK. Never put an API key in a command or in a file I would commit; ask me where it should come from.Other MCP clients
Add this to your client's mcpServers config. The client completes OAuth sign-in on first connect.

DocSpring skills for AI agents
Agent Skills and an agent plugin for DocSpring, which fills PDF and Word templates, generates PDFs from HTML templates and collects e-signatures. The skills teach an AI agent how to work with DocSpring, and the plugin connects the agent to the DocSpring MCP server, which works with your account after you sign in.
Install
Claude Code
Codex
GitHub Copilot CLI and VS Code
In a Copilot CLI session or VS Code's chat:
Gemini CLI
Grok Build
Other agents
Install the skills into Cursor, Windsurf, OpenCode and about 80 other agents with the skills CLI:
The skills CLI installs only the skills. Add the DocSpring MCP server to your agent as well: MCP server setup.
The MCP servers
DocSpring has an MCP server in each region:
docspring:https://mcp.docspring.com/mcp, for accounts at app.docspring.comdocspring-eu:https://mcp-eu.docspring.com/mcp, for accounts at app-eu.docspring.com
The plugin connects docspring only. If your account is at app-eu.docspring.com, add docspring-eu yourself and sign
in to it. In Claude Code, add it, then select it in /mcp:
For other agents, see MCP server setup and use the EU URL.
When you sign in, you choose what the agent can do: read only, read and write, or full access. Connecting without the plugin, and what each access level allows: MCP server setup.
What these files do
The skills are Markdown instructions. There are no scripts, hooks or binaries, and no telemetry. The only network endpoints are the two MCP servers above, which the agent connects to after you sign in.

How complete this listing is, computed from the registry entry, the endpoint and public sources. Not a rating of the server and not a statement that it is safe or working today: reachability is a dated check, and no installs or reviews go into the score.
